This policy explains the information used to run The Lost Bible Tapes website, family accounts, games, music player, and journal.

Information we handle
- Accounts: an email address or Google sign-in, an authentication identifier, and account security records. Passwords are handled by the authentication provider; we do not receive the password you type.
- Family profiles: a profile name, avatar, adult/teen/kid role, listening band, preferences, passcode settings, and the profile selected on your device. We do not ask for a child’s birth date.
- Activity you choose to save: liked songs, play counts, game results and scores, and journal entries. Journal entries can contain personal information you write or dictate.
- Technical data: web requests, IP address, browser and device details, timestamps, and error information in hosting and security logs. Your browser also stores sign-in state, player position, profile choices, and preferences on your device.
- Optional analytics: only after you choose “Allow analytics,” Google Analytics may receive page categories, limited campaign tags and referring site, selected button categories, sign-in outcome categories, player health events, and page-speed measurements. We do not send account emails, profile names, journal text, typed game answers, or password fields in those events.
How we use it
We use account and profile data to sign people in, keep each household’s settings and content, play music, save journal entries and game progress, send requested sign-in or password emails, protect the service, and fix failures. Optional analytics helps us understand where visits come from, which parts of the site are used, where account steps fail, and whether pages and music work well.
We do not use this service for targeted advertising or sell personal information. Daily or promotional email is separate from essential account email and will require its own choice if introduced.
Children and family profiles
An adult should create and manage a household account and supervise children using its profiles. A kid or teen profile can save listening and game activity and journal entries under that household. We do not send optional Google Analytics events while a kid or teen member profile is active, or from standalone game play. An adult can contact us to ask about reviewing or deleting a child’s information.
Voice dictation uses the browser’s speech recognition service, which may send audio to the browser provider, such as Google or Apple. We save the transcript only if you add it to a journal entry; we do not store the raw microphone recording.
Providers and sharing
Google Cloud and Firebase host the site, authenticate accounts, and store app data. An email delivery provider sends requested account links. If you use voice dictation, your browser’s speech provider processes it. If you allow optional analytics, Google Analytics processes those events. We share information with these providers only for these service purposes, or when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

Analytics choice
Optional analytics is off unless you allow it. Your choice is saved in this browser. You can change it below; declining stops future optional events from this browser, though it does not remove data already received by the analytics provider.
Essential sign-in and security storage still operates when you decline analytics.
Retention, security, and your choices
We keep account and saved content while needed to provide the service, and technical logs for security and troubleshooting.
